About the Honda Car Owners' Association of Queensland.

The HCOAQ was formed in the late 1970's by a group of people with a common interest in Honda cars. The club has a mainly social basis with picnic days, social nights and weekends away in the countryside to keep everyone occupied.

We have regular service days where members can do odd jobs on their cars and seek advice from others with expertise in various areas. Many members have service manuals which can be made available for reference, and we have parts microfiche for many early model Hondas. Tech Talk days provide us with chance to talk with specialists in various fields.

The club can offer motorsport events such as motorkhanas, track days and advanced driving for sporting oriented members.

At Easter, each of the Honda Car Clubs, NSW, Victoria, Queensland and South Australia gather together for a weekend of motor sport and social activity. Each of the clubs organises the events and location for the National Meet on a rotational basis. For the past two decades, the weekend has been one of the major events on all the clubs calendars.

The HCOAQ publishes a newsletter called "Kuruma" each month, this keeps members, other clubs and interested parties informed with what is happening in the club and with Honda related news.

This web site and Honda-OZ mailing list exists to freely communicate items of interest to subscribers throughout our club network and to anyone interested in Hondas.

This Web Site has been up since March 1997, and is maintained by a small band of car and computer enthusiasts. We will gradually improve the handling characteristics, the body work and trimming as we go (just like our cars). To those ends, we are grateful for any suggestions which come our way to help the performance of our pages.
