Vale: John Tomelevage

1933 - 1999

It is with great sadness that we heard the news that John Tomelevage had passed away in hospital on Thursday, November 18th 1999.

John was our founding member, a Life Member, current Vice President and great friend to us all.

He was the driving force in the club for many years, and continued to work for the club on any project we gave him or he volunteered for. He made a point of going to National Meets if he could, because he was instrumental in forming the structure of the National Meets we now have. His presence will be missed at many functions.

John had completed organising our Christmas function, so we did not disappoint him as we know he didn't like his plans to be changed.

To many of us it seemed that the HCOAQ members were John's family and it is in this context that his passing is especially sad to many of us.
